Dream journey

Updated: Jan 23, 2021

The dream begins with a black ship painted on a canvas. Its ominous with a sense of lonely travel.

In small steps you purify the ship with lighter color. Starting with white your ship begins to take on a new perspective.

The darkness begins to fade slowly at first into a grey hew. Yet its not complete.

You look at your palette of paint and wonder what color shall you choose? At first it seems you are limited in just the black and white.

Then you realize there is green. So you take up your paint brush and add green to your ship. Creative sparks begin to flutter in your mind. What are the possible designations of this ship, now that it is no longer anchored in darkness?

You notice blue is a another color that is present on your palette. There was no water for the ship to travel. Now however, you have blue and paint the water.

The sky feels incomplete too. So with the white you create some stars to navigate by.

As you examine your palette you have silver with which to paint a moon. Color begins to appear all over your palette. There is blank canvas to paint now too. Where will your ship go? Where will you go? You have the brush, you have colors, the canvas and now the paint.

In the depths of depression you may have felt like you had no power. No choices and no destination.

Unbeknownst to you, there was color and a brush in your hand. Take up your brush, dip it in the paint and begin. The ship is yours, the journey is yours.
