Action Plan

When in the depths of depression its difficult to take action that will help you get out. So one thing you can do is create an action plan when you are feeling able to. Steps you can take easily to remind you that it is only a temporary state.

Here are some options for an action plan.

  1. Create a list of family, or friends you can call when you are feeling down. Save this number:

2. Create a music play list of uplifting music

3. Create a self care kit such as a bath basket with candles, special soap, bubble bath or essential oils. If you can't take a bath and only have a shower you can take a candle light shower.

4. Have comfort blanket on hand and a quiet place you can relax in.

5. Make a play list of funny movies

6. Save a special yoga session or dvd.

7. A journal or a coloring book


These are just some idea's to get you started. Tailor your Action plan how ever you would like. Think of the things that you enjoy when your not down.
